Acute Severe Behavioural Disturbance (ASBD) in the adult patient is the fifth emergency response category activity available to participants of the ANZCA and FPM continuing professional development (CPD) program. This program is run by Dr Stephanie Oak who is a consultation-liaison psychiatrist and pain medicine specialist from New South Wales who worked with medical and surgical patients at the John Hunter Hospital for 25 years and the Hunter Integrated Pain Service for more than a decade.
