Spinal cord stimulation has proven effective through clinical trials and cohort studies, and more recently, real-world data from electronic health records and medicolegal claims has been explored. Registries play a crucial role in improving patient care, public health, and device safety, and offer valuable data for research. However, setting up and maintaining medical registries is challenging due to the need for stable funding, legal compliance, and proper infrastructure. In neuromodulation, independent national registries are rare, and despite growing interest in a European registry, efforts have been unsuccessful. This survey aims to assess the need and challenges of creating such a registry for neuromodulation.
